In Ottawa, capital of Canada, despite adverse weather conditions, social organizations, solidarity groups, students and progressive Canadians, from Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, joined the International Day of Solidarity with the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and its Constitutional President Nicolas Maduro Moros.
The delegations met at the Venezuelan Embassy, where they were received by Ambassador Barrientos and the Embassy staff. The crowd in a symbolic gesture surrounded the Embassy as a “protection shield”, to protect it against aggressions from the USA. Ambassador Barrientos, addressed the crowd expressing the government gratitude for the expressions of solidarity, affection to all the people supporting the Bolivarian Revolution.
A number of representatives from different social and solidarity organizations, presented documents, condemning the USA aggression and interference in Venezuelan internal affairs with false accusations of human rights, freedom of expression as portrayed by main stream media worldwide. All the organizations clearly and resolutely expressed that the work in Defense of the Bolivarian Revolution will continue as well as the commitment to reveal the truth about Venezuela.
From the Venezuelan Embassy the crowd march to the USA Embassy and Ottawa was filled with the chants, condemning the interference, threats and destabilization plans against President Maduro and the Bolivarian Revolution. The march continued to Parliament Hill where the crowd filled the access steps to the Canadian Parliament with banners, Flags, posters and continue with the chants supporting Venezuela against foreign aggression.
Also Vancouver and Edmonton join the Day by rallying that Sunday in support of the Bolivarian Revolution before US new aggressions against Venezuelan people
In the Vancouver Art Gallery representatives of different political parties, social organizations and people who respect the principle of Self-determination of the peoples in the world gathered to express their “rejection towards the statement by the President of the United States, Barack Obama, declaring Venezuela a threat to his country and imposing new sanctions against the Caribbean country.
