ALBA Humanitarian Aid Arrives in Lebanon

Beirut, Sep 16 (Prensa Latina) The airplane sent by the countries of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA) carrying humanitarian aid for those affected by the conflict in Syria arrived on Monday in this capital.

The cargo includes six and a half tons of food, medicine, water and blankets, and will be distributed in Syrian camps established in Lebanon due to the conflict spanning the neighboring Levantine nation.

The airplane with humanitarian aid took off on September 11 from Maiquetia Airport, in Venezuela.

Millions of Syrians have been forced to leave their country given the latent threat of military intervention by the U.S. government.
